Life Skills 4 My Family is not a substitute for counselling or treatment. It does, however, make an excellent adjunctive or concurrent skills-based program for families currently engaged in therapy. Therapists can focus on issues unique to the family in treatment, and identify any roadblocks preventing family members from implementing the skills covered in the program. These skills are often too complex and time-consuming to be taught effectively in short-term family or individual therapy. Before starting the program, however, be sure to consult with your therapist to determine if the program is right for your family.
